Bank Notes:
The Sudan
Currency Printing Press (SCPP) main activity is the
production of bank notes as the name implies. It is the
only authorized company in Sudan to print banknotes. The
company meets all the needs of the Central Bank of Sudan in
respect of high quality and good prices.
The SCPP
acts as the technical advisor for the Central Bank of Sudan in
all matters of recent developments in the field of currency
printing.

Metallic Security Thread:
It is a
shiny silver thread embedded as a broken line from the top
to the bottom of the paper. Although it is a broken line, it
looks continuous when seen against a light source .Some
micro text in alternating black and white colour shown on it
. Magnifying glass can be used to read “Bank of Sudan” on
it.

Multi-Colour Intaglio
Printing:
The bank
notes are printed under high pressure which results in a
relief printing on the paper surface . The relief printing
can be felt with the nail tip on the following images :

The Republican Palace image .

Hot emboss stamp (Republic of the Sudan).

The graphics to the left of the water mark.
-
The face value of the note.
-
The name of Bank of Sudan.

Serial Number:
The number
is printed on 2 places of the front face of the note: the
one on the right side is printed in black while the left is
in red. Each serial number is preceded by an alphabetic
letter.

The Water Mark:
This water
mark is located in the white space of the note and can be
seen only against light. The water mark image is Alneilin
Mosque. The water mark is difficult to imitate by
counterfeiting.

Other Security
Features:
-
When the banknote is seen under the ultra-violet
light, some fluorescent coloured fibers appear due
to the invisible ink thus makes forgery impossible.
This also applies to the halo around the face value
of the note.

There is a micro text at the bottom of the note
which cannot be read without a magnifying lens.

The holographic brass stripe loses its luster when
photocopied.
